Ruvik Danilovich

Ruvik Danilovich became the youngest mayor in the Be’er Sheva’s history when he was elected in 2008 at 37 years old. Danilovich was reelected in both 2013 and 2018 and is currently serving his third term as mayor.

During his tenure, Mayor Danilovich has led Be’er Sheva through a period of unprecedented development with billions of shekels being invested in the city, transforming Be’er Sheva from a sleepy desert village into a metropolitan center and capital of the Negev. Today, in coordination with Jewish National Fund-USA, Danilovich is leading efforts for the establishment of a new hospital with an adjacent biotech complex, a future light rail system, and other innovative projects.
