Coming this summer, our Alexander Muss High School in Israel will open the doors to its second campus—what we are fondly calling Muss South. Welcoming 88 students for its first summer semester, the campus is located less than 2 miles from the site of the future World Zionist Village in Be’er Sheva. The new 5-acre campus will allow us to expand our student body and begin the planned incremental growth from 1,500 students to 5,000 before the doors to the Village open. The campus is situated on what was once used by an IDF intelligence unit, and will feature five dormitories, a dining hall, an indoor sports center and outdoor basketball court, and state-of-the-art classrooms, all on beautiful property. “A campus like this anywhere in Israel would have met our needs,” said Ron Werner, Alexander Muss High School in Israel President. “However, this site located in Be’er Sheva allows us to develop both human and commercial resources that we will need as we move forward with the WZV. Muss South is a game changer for AMHSI!”
Another plus: Campus operations for Muss South, including dining, groundskeeping and dormitory services, will be handled by an organization that employs people with disabilities, complementing JNF‑USA’s commitment to inclusion. We are very proud to work with them!
