What is your connection to AMHSI?

Jewish National Fund-USA

Why did you decide to enter this contest?

As the son of Jewish immigrants who was fortunate enough to be educated at a Jewish day school, I wanted to take this unique opportunity, put my amateur graphic design skills to the test, and create a logo that properly celebrates half a century of strengthening our younger generation’s connection to the Jewish people and homeland.

What was the inspiration behind your design?

My intention was to create something simple yet bold that complements the square AMHSI logo. The bold dark blue lines that make up the "50" are meant to pay tribute to the blue stripes of the Israeli flag while the Magen David is the “cherry on top” that embodies the school’s connection to Israel. This is further affirmed by the white arrows that wrap around the border and point to it.
